The situation about COVID-19 in Canada has been studied in-depth by the group. By clicking the name of the province or Canada listed below, corresponding up-to-date data visualization will be displayed. We provide visualization results from various angles including an overview of the pandemic situations, characteristics of the trends at the city level, the mortality/recovery rate in relation to demographic features, with the attention particularly focused on the severely infected provinces. We hope to provide timely visualization results and new insights to help better understand the COVID-19 situation in Canada. This heat map is based on the data reported from Public Health Units (PHU) in Ontario. The PHU region is represented by orange arears on the map. This map can also be further moved or magnified for more detailed information.





The hospitalized rate, ICU rate and death rate are computed by the number of people who are hospitalized, placed in ICU, and dead respectively divided by the number of confirmed cases in Ontario. Data comes from Government of Ontario.



Recovery rate for each age and gender group is computed by the number of recovered cases for particular age and gender group divided by number of confirmed cases in this age and gender group.







Fatality rate for each age and gender group is computed by the number of people who died for particular age and gender group divided by number of confirmed cases in this age and gender group.
